A Great Night For The Tenth Amendment & Issues Oriented Political Activism

[Please note that post focuses on an action being taken by the Republican Executive Committee of Palm Beach County, support by groups and individuals affiliated with other political parties or not affiliated with any political party are both welcome and essential for the objective of the movement and the good of the State of Florida and the country at large. The Constitution is not a partisan political issue. Everyone should take the lead on being Constitutional.]

The Wednesday Night (April 1) Meeting of the Republican Executive Committee of Palm Beach County was in my recollection one of the best ever. There were multiple highlights, not all of which are covered here. A UNANIMOUS VOTE was cast in favor of the proposed “Lee Coleman Tenth Amendment Reserved Powers Memorial”. The vote by the whole committee followed by about a week a similar unanimous vote by the Board of Directors in their preparatory meeting.

Immediately after the meeting, David Wood and Debbie Langdon were able to collect 50 (+/-) additional signed Tenth Amendment Petitions (70 or so were obtained at the February 11 meeting). Chairman Dinerstein had some kind words to say about the diligence of the Constitutionally focused members of the Committee.

A very good speaker was provided by the Central Republican Club of Palm Beach County and the Republican Liberty Caucus of Florida. He was Lawrence Reed, President of the Foundation for Economic Education (which is located in my longtime home county of Westchester in New York State). Mr Reed recounted many of the political, economic, and monetary events of the Great Depression. He explained how the FEDERAL RESERVE and the Federal government collectively caused, exacerbated, and extended the duration and extreme level of damage of “The Great Depression.” It was clear from the presentation alone that there is a major parallel between the “errors” of government intervention then and now.

A report was made on preparations for the Tea Party on April 15, It will will take place from 5 to 7 PM in the courtyard behind 301 N. Olive Avenue., where there is a large area available for a rally. The Republican Party of Palm Beach County has taken the lead in making preparations for this event. Chairman Dinerstein has put together an energetic group. Sid made the point that this is a non-partisan event which includes the participation of the general public together with non-partisan grass roots organizations and multiple political parties. I have attached the flyer to this email.
Sincerely,

Dean Taffel
Chairman, The Tenth Amendment Coalition of Florida
